New no.Spam.domino features at no extra cost

Selective Journaling
no.Spam.domino introduces rule-by-rule Journaling. The Domino r6 server offers the ability to 'journal' or copy any message flowing through the router. This feature is enabled in your server/configuration document but you need a mail rule to activate it. no.Spam.domino has always allowed you to create such a mail rule which has an action of 'Journal' but now we introduce a new way to journal messages on a rule-by-rule basis, we call this selective journaling. You can create complex no.Spam.domino rules and journal a copy of any message which triggers it as well as taking your selected action on the message. The best thing about no.Spam.domino journaling is that you can make it work only on selected inbound or outbound messages - unlike standard journaling which journals everything.

DNS Configuration integration
As per customer request you can now control the Domino DNS lookup functions for sending hostname and sender domain from your no.Spam.domino configuration rather than having to edit these in the server/configuration document. The Domino DNS lookup functions allows you to reject a message if the server that connects to you does not have a valid DNS entry or the FROM domain cannot be located in the DNS. These DNS lookups can help you to reject unwanted mail but can also lead to slower mail performance. More details about these functions can be found in the documentation:

Allowed SMTP hosts integration
Again, as per customer request, we've integrated the controls for configuring which SMTP servers are allowed to connect to yours to send mail. From the no.Spam.domino configuration screen you can enter a list of IP addresses or hostnames that you want to be able to connect to your SMTP server. If you don't enter any addresses, all servers will be able to connect. This option can be particularly useful if all of your inbound mail is processed by a few hosts at your ISP. By entering their addresses, you can stop other servers directly connecting to your SMTP server to send unwanted mail.

senderMemory is a hit!
The recent announcement of senderMemory was a hit. This feature is turning out to be a major plus for many users. If you missed the announcement, senderMemory is a way to automatically 'whitelist' those people who you send mail TO so that their replies are allowed back in without the usual spam checking. You can configure senderMemory to directly deliver such messages or even just run them through the usual mail rules but with a little head start on the score. The no.Spam.domino Administration Console now includes tools to manage senderMemory.
