Bayesian mail filter now available for r5 users

The DRCC Bayesian mail rule is now available for r5 users! Now, via ruleSync you can give each of your r5 users a highly accurate Bayesian mail rule to help fight the growing Spam problem. This filter offers all the same feature as the r6 server version but can be loaded to each r5 users mailfile automatically. If you decide to move to r6, the same Bayesian database can be used, without any changes to protect your r6 environment - and you don't loose your investment in training the filter.

You need no.Spam.domino with Rules+ and RuleSync to use this feature. If you have less than 150 users you pay one low monthly fee of less than US$50 to protect them all. That's cheap and effective protection. There are no add-ins or server tasks to bother about and because our filter is a mail rule it runs on all supported Domino platforms, even in a mixed environment. Bayesian mail filter now part of the free trial

We've now included the Bayesian mail rule in the free trial package for no.Spam.domino. Anyone with a Domino r6 environment can now test this accurate mail rule while evaluating no.Spam.domino. You can train the filter to recognize you own Spam and with one mail rule significantly lower your daily Spam load. Bayesian filter learning made easy with PODs

To make it easier for you to train your Bayesian filter, DRCC introduces PODs. A POD is a complete dump of our latest Bayesian library ready for you to import into your own mail filter. The first POD contains over 50,00 good and bad mail tokens ready to make your filter more effective at fighting todays Spam. Even if you have already trained your filter, importing a POD can improve your detection ability. You can download the first POD from http://www.drcc.com/nospamdomino -> Downloads -> PODS or just click here. Follow the instructions on that page for more information. If you don't already have the 'Import POD' facility in your Bayesian reference library either enable replication of your bayesian template with DRCC and then refresh the design of your Bayesian working copy or download the latest version from the Downloads page and use that to refresh your Bayesian working copy. Mail Rule views enhanced and simplified

We've enhanced the Rules views in no.Spam.domino to make working with mail rule easier. Some of the action icons have been changed or moved to make the views less complicated. We've added a 'move up' and 'move down' option to help you re-arrange your rules and the rules are now colour coded to help you organize them into 'bands'. We use 5 Bands to form structured rulesets. By organizing your rules into bands (otherwise known as a 'structured ruleset') you ensure efficient operation of rules in your system. Easy Whitelist and Blacklist buttons

If you already use no.Spam.domino dynamic rules for whitelisting and blacklisting senders and recipients, you'll love the new actions we added to make your life easier! You can now to a one step add or remove of a black or whitelisted sender or recipient. Instead of having to create a new Spam Control for each user you want to add to your black or whitelist now you just have to use the Actions menu and choose, for example, Actions/Lists/01. Add Whitelisted Sender and you will be prompted to enter the name you want to list. no.Spam.domino will check your exiting entries and tell you if the user is already present, show you any similar entries and add the user. Your dynamic rule will then be able to use the new information instantly. There are actions for both adding and removing entries. Of course you can still make changes manually by editing the spam controls in the 'Spam Controls/Lists/Usernames' views.


New sample ruleset available

We have revised enhanced the sample mail ruleset that is available from http://www.drcc.com/nospamdomino -> Downloads. The sample ruleset now contains rules like dynamic whitelist for senders and a sample bayesian rule for r5 users (see "Bayesian mail filter now available for r5 users") above. All you need to do is download the sample database and then copy/paste rules to your no.Spam.domino database, edit them, save them and you're away.


How do I get these new features?

To ensure that you have the latest version of no.Spam.domino just replicate your master database with DRCC and refresh the design of your working copy. If you use the Bayesian reference library and you aren't already replicating this with us then please contact us for assistance. These product updates are included with your monthly subscription at no extra cost. Rules+ and RuleSync are additional licensing options.
