Content Replacer
Preventing offensive content can really help to reduce the stress some users feel when they receive unwanted mail. By removing/replacing offensive words or phrases with something less offensive you can offer a better quality of e-mail service to your clients. nsj provides a way to replace any string on an inbound message with any other string. Words, sentences, phrases can all be replaced or removed according to a set of easy 'from-to' rules.

Medusa
This is a new filter that finds text patterns in messages the other filtering methods may not reliably detect. Medusa is fast and effective. Add it to your filter list by adding
filter=medusa,score=30
to your filter list in nsj.ini.

Clustering
If one machine doesn't provide your with enough spam busting power, put several together using nsj's software clustering abilities. Any number of nsj nodes, running on any platform, can be logically clustered together to form one virtual anti-Spam engine. Each node shares configuration data and some quarantine data. Nodes can be next to each other or half a world away. You decide what each node shares so you have total control of the cluster. Building a cluster of low powered or older hardware can save you money and increase your system performance cheaply!
External Commands / Virus Scanner Integration
If you want to incorporate virus scanning into nsj it's possible via our external command interface. In fact, any external command that provides a return code can be added into your filter list, to run at any point in the nsj scanning process.

User Administration - Personal Controls
We already told you about the user quarantine that comes with nsj but did you know that each user can also adjust their own blacklists and whitelists and set their own personal spam level using the web interface? That gives each user the ability to block messages that your global rules may not catch and also to allow messages from personal contacts that may otherwise be blocked. That should lead to more control for the user and less stress on the administrator. Quarantine is an excellent way to avoid 'the spam filter lost my mail' complaints and 'can you unblock my mothers mail address?' questions that mail administrators hear so often.
